Getting up at about 8am, except for a light rain during the night the weather looks promising. We have proper breakfast and leaving for the most difficult part of the trail at about 11am heading to Bear Beach. First few kilometres we endure crossing multiple fallen trees and since then we are only faster and faster.
We made it all the way to the Bear Beach after about five hours and discussing our options. There's not too many spots to choose from and we have our eyes on a beach front, slightly exposed to the ocean. One group stays, another explores further south and discovers east part of Bear Beach, closest to China Beach as possible.
We decide to move all the way there and setting up a camp close to each other. I would say it's been by far the best spot in terms of proximity to the water source as well as convenience being close to each other. We are all pretty tired, but excited for a little bathe in cold Pacific Ocean waters.
After a little hesitation, most of the crew members decide to go for it and we have quite a good time. Except for the water being a little bit cold, but we don't care too much. We are all ready for having a dinner and we also top up our water in a nearby creek. There is a little campfire ring next to it, where we start a fire.
We had couple beers left, which came very handy, as well as a secret stash of whiskey and rum suddenly appeared that night by the fire. What a day! But that's not all, shortly before going to sleep, a magician (Ales) appeared and changed colours of the flames to multiple different colours. Magic! Then we took care of the fire and went to sleep, expecting last leg of the hike for tomorrow to our final destination - China Beach.
