Day before we agreed to get up a little bit earlier just to have a buffer to catch the ferry in the evening with no headache. We get up at around 7.30am collectively and the whole team have a breakfast together in our small campsite. We've had almost no rain at night so packing tents was a breeze. We leave shortly before 10am and the sun is up and shining.
We arrive at Mystic Beach at around 1pm, where we rest for some time and go explore nearby waterfall. Here we also meet a lot of day hikers coming from a nearby China Beach which is accessible by car. Shortly after we head in that direction and make it there shortly before 2pm, way sooner than we have expected.
Drivers head for a second car parked at place we have started - Botanical Beach near Port Renfrew. Rest of the crew marches for another two or three kilometres all the way to Cold Shoulder Cafe located really close to a well-known surf spot, where we get a well-deserved treat. They offer soups, sandwiches and all different types of beverages, including beer.
We stop for a short moment in Victoria, overseeing the beach and grabbing an ice cream. We do a quick car tour and then hurry to catch ferry at Swartz Bay Terminal at 7pm. After we land in Tsawwassen, all the crew members are heading home, some of them continuing all the way to Whistler, others getting ready for a next trip to the very east of Canada. What a trip it was!
